| HandWorks,
is your destination for a delightful shopping experience! Opened as Danville
Arts & Crafts Village in August of 1993, located in 5500 square feet of
space, our reputation was quickly established as one of the largest and
finest artisan consignment stores. Today we represent over 130 crafters
and artisans. You will find us in the Railroad Center in the old town
section of historic downtown Danville, California, conveniently located
off the I-680 corridor at the foot of Mt. Diablo. You will enjoy your
shopping experience here in downtown Danville-a city 40 miles east of
San Francisco that's a mix of beautiful historic residences, unique specialty
shops and gourmet dining. Exquisite floral designs are tastefully displayed throughout the store. One can find plants in the latest designer containers, as well as unusual orchids and "snippets" in glass containers presented in a water illusion. Our jewelry designers are among the finest anywhere. We have masters in art clay as well as fused glass. Whether it be necklaces, earrings or pins, all are one of a kind; adding to their unique quality. The turned wood artists we represent are accomplished in this discipline. Exotic wood bowls, pen and pencil sets for the gentlemen and ladies are just of the few items offered. Our tole painters can turned yesterday's castoffs into today's treasures. Primitive crafts abound - with wonderful selections of handmade dolls, lamps, candles, furniture and home accessories. Our store offers many special events throughout the year. In the spring and fall we open our parking lot to artisans for our seasonal street fairs that attract large crowds. And during holiday seasons our Open House events bring the spirit of the season to our town. |
